Why study in Germany?

Education System

German Universities are autonomous and provide special emphasis on research and teaching. Some of the groundbreaking discoveries that the world has seen have been the result of German Universities. This is one of the strongest reasons why students increasingly prefer Germany for research studies. 

German Universities offer courses in Medicine, Engineering, Management, Law, English and various other disciplines. Academic freedom is one of the main characteristics of the German university system and is one of the reasons why public universities in Germany don't charge any fee.

Intakes

The main intake offered by all Universities is September, Deadlines: from 15th Feb till 31st May.
Few universities offer in March, Deadlines: from 15th Nov till Jan Last. 
Entry Requirements / Eligibility

Undergaraduate

13years of Education is mandatory (12 + 1year from University)
If not then students can go via 1year Foundation Course
Or
10 year Education + 3 year Diploma Ielts - 6.0 overall or Toefl - 80 points (IBT)

MASTERS

  • 15 & 16 year Education with 75% or 2.75 GPA.
  • Ielts - 6.5 overall or TOEFL - 85points (IBT)

MBA

  • 15 & 16 years of Education with Relevant Subjects
  • Ielts - 6.5 or TOEFL - 85points (IBT)
  • Work Experience 2 - 3 year at managerial level GMAT - 550
  • GMAT - 550 (exceptionally required)

Entry requirement for TU9 UNIVERSITY

MASTERS

  • 15 & 16 year Education with 75% or 2.75 GPA.
  • Ielts - 6.5 overall or Toefl - 85points (IBT)
  • German language upto 200hrs
  • GRE - 1300

Document Required

  • 10th onwards all mark sheets, transcripts, consolidated marksheet, provisional & Degree
  • English proficiency test Score card- IELTS or TOEFL
  • Statement of purpose
  • Two Letter of Recommendations (one from university & one from employer-if available)
  • Updated CV with Education years & marks
  • Extra curricular certificates & language certification (German, French etc) if available GMAT & GRE Score cards
  • Passport copy
  • Ten passport size photograph
  • NOTE: All academic documents, IELTS-TOEFL & GRE-GMAT & passport-front & back should be Notary Attested.
  • LOR's should be in sealed Envelope.

INDUSTRY AND EMPLOYEMENT

Part time employment in the Germany

  • Students can work upto 20 hours a week during term time. 
  • Students can earn around 9 - 10 Euro per hour i.e. Approx. 150 - 200 euro per week (Rs. 14,000 - Rs. 15,000).
  • Students could look out for part-time jobs by looking in the local newspapers and job shops as well as the Universities and Colleges career cells where information is available about vacancies.

However please note that students are not guaranteed part time employment by the University.

Q1.) What quality of education is there in germany?

Ans. The standard of teaching and research in German universities is ranked among one of the best institutions in the world.

Q2.) Is it compulsary to learn german language to study in Germany?

Ans.Programs are exclusively taught in English. Therefore German language skills are not a prerequisite for starting your studies. If you are willing to learn German, you also have the opportunity to join the German Language Courses at the University, which are free of charge. A good command of German will expand your advantage on the job market in case you consider working for one of the approx. 700 German companies in India.

Q3.) Is immigration possible in germany?

Ans. Since 2002 Germany has a new immigration law. As a foreign student you will receive a study visa. With this visa you are allowed to work 90 days or 180 half days in a calendar year. This right is not restricted for campus jobs like in the US. After your graduation you have the right to stay in Germany for one year. During this time you can concentrate on job-hunting. A permanent residence permit will be guaranteed after having been successful in finding a job.
